August 19, 2009 - Sony Cuts PS3 Price Around World, Offers Upgrade

As we posted in June, Sony has today announced a slim PS3 version including a $100 price cut (slim version available Sep. 1). The current version will see an immediate $100 price reduction.

"Sony Corp. slashed the price of the PlayStation 3 around the world in a move that analysts said is likely to boost sales of the game console while not adding much to its money-losing earnings."
