The Slingbox is pretty cool. I think it uses an internet connection to stream video. In some locations it might be difficult to get an internet connection.
I've always told the client that the connection is their responsibility. I probably do one event like this per year, but if I did more I would probably get a Slingbox.
I wish there was a way to do daytime sporting events, as that seems to come up more often. This is an email I got yesterday:
I found your company on-line and hope that you can help. My son's first birthday party will be on Sunday, September 26 at a local park. The picnic area where the party will be is extremely shaded (lots of big trees all around.) Is there any way that we'd be able to have a screen put up outside even though it will be daytime? If so, is there any way to have football shown on the screen? Yes - I planned my son's party on football Sunday and am looking to help my husband out. After you stop laughing, please let me know if you can help me!!
Daytime viewing would open up A LOT more business.
