Default Backyard Movie Birthday Party - September 18, 2010

Notes: nothing really different here, but I was able to get a couple good pictures so I thought I would post them.

Equipment: DW5000u projector, 10" EONS, 10' CB screen, Oppo dvd player

Conditions: it was a little cool, the equipment had a good deal of "dew" on it by the end of the movie.

Screen set up before the movie:

The view looking down from a raised deck off the back of the house (you can see the bright spot from the lens on the lower right part of the screen):

Another angle (bright spot from the lens is on the lower left part of the screen):

Nice open areas. In Long Beach,Ca that almost doesn't exist. What do you get for a movie in NJ?

Gardenviewcinema, welcome! The name is very familiar, I must have seen you around somewhere before (cyberly speaking).

The party pictured above was $275 (backyard birthday party). For private (homeowner) events like this, the workable price range seems to be from $250 up to about $400. At least that's been my experience here in NJ. Not to say I haven't done backyard events over $400, but that seems to be some magic threshold or something. I guess $300 and change sounds better to a customer than $400. Who knows?

What's been your experience in CA?
